Oi

I am terrible at posting in a timely matter. Basically, I was a bit commitment happy this semester and took on waaaay too much stuff. I can handle all of it, but it definitely means less free time for me to craft.

Anyways, me and a trusty accomplice posted our first yarn bombs on Wednesday night. It was very exciting and no one questioned us (though the people of Karma Cream did give us some very strange looks). Here's the completed bobble bomb:

Today I'm checking to make sure they didn't get taken down and taking a less shitty picture. Hopefully this weekend I can finish bomb #3, which is some epically cute gator feet!

Blind Contour Drawing: The Breakfast of Champions

Today I acted and drew and homeworked and clerked and very little else.

I did blind contour drawings of my hands and shoes whilst camped out at a coffee shop. The hands were kind of ridiculously successful, considering that I can barely draw whilst looking at my paper, let alone while diligently ignoring it. The shoes kept ending up as some kind of bow/whale hybrid (now dubbed the "whaelbow") but whatever. No one likes shoe drawings anyways.

Now I'm going to pretend to knit a row and then go to bed, so that tomorrow I can do it all again!

Oh yeah

Today I watched someone else work whilst knitting. Yay supervising!!! Anyways, yarn bomb #1 is nearly done.

The Procrastinator's Mantra

So for the past few days I've been knitting up my very first yarn bomb with my very cool $2 yarn. I've also been procrastinating a lot and not putting up photos of my completed projects. So... there's that.

These things, I will do them. Tomorrow.

Recap

Sunday: Knitted up a test patch with some of my new horrible acrylic. I managed to make the Chevron pattern from the Yarn Bombing book, and it looks pretty good.

Monday: Sewed in the ends on The Scarf. I also promised my mother that I'd add a fringe to it. Sigh...

Tonight: Made my first attempt at bobbles! They are pretty tricky to understand just out of a book, and the first row of them turned out pretty loose, but I think I'll do better next time.

And now to bed, as I very sadly start classes tomorrow morning. Ick.

WITH THE SCARF FROM HELL

Minus sewing in the ends or putting on the fringe, but whatever, not important. What is important is that

I AM DONE.
